A new retail development known as Patriots Square is planned just outside the Bartram Trail community along the William Few Parkway corridor in Evans, Georgia. The project has already received county approval and is expected to bring additional convenience, services, and retail options to one of Columbia County’s fastest-growing areas.
For residents of Bartram Trail and surrounding neighborhoods, Patriots Square represents another step in the continued growth and investment happening in the Evans area.
What Is Patriots Square?
Patriots Square is a planned shopping center development located near Bartram Trail, designed to serve the surrounding residential communities with everyday services and retail.
As Evans continues to grow, developments like Patriots Square are intended to provide nearby shopping, dining, and service options for residents along the William Few Parkway corridor.
While full tenant announcements have not yet been finalized, the approved site plan includes multiple outparcels for future retail and service businesses.

Two businesses have already been identified as part of the approved development:
Sonic Drive-In
The popular drive-in restaurant chain is planned as one of the outparcel locations and will provide quick dining options for residents in the area.
Big Blue Marble Academy
A Big Blue Marble Academy childcare facility is also planned as part of the development. Big Blue Marble is a nationally established childcare provider.
According to approved plans:
The facility will include an approximately 11,700 square foot building
The site will cover about 1.54 acres
Multiple outdoor play areas are incorporated into the design
Potential Grocery Store Discussion
One of the topics generating the most interest among residents is the possibility of a grocery store being included in the Patriots Square development.
Within the community, there has been discussion surrounding Lowe’s Foods as a potential grocery component, which would provide a full-service grocery option near Bartram Trail and along the William Few Parkway corridor.
However, no grocery tenant has been officially confirmed at this time, and additional tenant announcements will likely come as the development continues to move forward.
